Description: Previously available as a trim option on the Cadillac Fleetwood, the Cadillac Brougham became its own model in 1987 and was produced in limited numbers until 1992 until reverting once again to a trim level on the Fleetwood when the Fleetwood became a rear-wheel drive vehicle once again in 1993. This 1990 Cadillac Brougham D’Elegance four-door sedan was built in October of 1989 at GM’s Arlington Assembly plant in Arlington, Texas and was original sold at Don Massey Cadillac in Englewood, Colorado and shows just 57,816 original miles on the odometer. Under the hood, this Cadillac is powered by an optional 5.7L 350ci Chevrolet V8 engine with throttle-body fuel injection and is mated to a 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission, both of which are in tip top shape. Additionally, the car features power steering and power brakes with front discs and a Bosch anti-lock braking system. As a D’Elegance model, this interior of this Brougham is trimmed in gray, tufted leather, which is in immaculate shape for its age along with the rest of the interior, a testament to the pampered life of this Cadillac and was a nearly three-thousand dollar option in 1990. Other interior features include power windows, power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, six-way power seats for both driver and passenger, power trunk release, tilt and telescoping optional leather-wrapped steering wheel, digital dashboard, AM/FM radio with cassette, auto dimming rearview mirror, and electronic climate control with A/C that works wonderfully and blows ice cold. Just as nice as the interior, the Silver Frost exterior of this Cadillac is shown in original paint and is in wonderful shape and although it does have a few imperfections due to the age of the car, overall the paint shows stunningly along with the Silver Metallic vinyl roof which is in similarly excellent condition. Finally, the Cadillac rides on Hankook Optimo H724 225/75R15 thin whitewall tires mounted on a set of stock wheels with optional Cadillac wire-spoke locking hubcaps, which give the car that unmistakable Cadillac look. Overall, this 1990 Cadillac Brougham D’Elegance is a wonderful car that’s in immaculate condition for its age, and out of the 258,168 Cadillacs built in 1990, only a mere 12,212 were D’Elegance sedans were built. Out of those built, one can wonder how many still exist in similar condition to this Brougham, and with the same low mileage. Given the passage of time, this just might be the best surviving 1990 Cadillac Brougham D’Elegance in the world.
