Description: At the end of 1946 and continuing into 1947, The Hudson Motor Car Company produced a 3/4 ton pickup truck named the Coupe Express (Super-Six). It was only produced for a short time and is one of the most unique and highly desired pickups of the day. Only 3,300 were produced and the Coupe Express is considered one of the rarest and best looking utility vehicles ever built. It came equipped with a 212ci flathead straight 6 cylinder motor producing 102 horsepower which was backed up by a column shifted 3 speed transmission and is currently connected to a Ford 9 inch rear end. This Hudson has been fully restored and is updated with a 12 volt electrical system which powers the custom Autosound Am/Fm/Cassette radio and speakers. The exterior of the Coupe Express is done in a gorgeous two-tone burgundy and charcoal gray paint job that is accented with chrome and stainless steel that has been re-chromed and polished. The Hudson does have its original fender skirts and a newly installed sun visor. The interior has been completed in a matching two-tone burgundy carpet and headliner with silver vinyl bench seat. It also has a beautiful wood grain accented dash and aftermarket gauges to ensure optimal engine performance and longevity. This Hudson pickup was built and sold new in 1947 for $1,675. This piece of post-war utilitarian history is available to purchase and will be the center piece for any collection or a show stopper when enjoyed and shown at car cruise-ins!
