Description: You are looking at a true 10th anniversary X code 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Sixty of these 10th Anniversary cars were involved in a "dealer drive-away program" where local dealers received a car that was used to parade around the Daytona Motor Speedway. These cars had "Daytona 500" emblems on the doors as well as NASCAR logos affixed to the rear quarter panels. The cars serial numbers were not believed to have documentation and Pontiac offered the decal package across the parts counter so verifying an actual Daytona 500 Parade car may prove to be difficult. It gets its power from a 403 cubic inch V8 that is connected to an automatic transmission. Other features under the hood include new alternator, new brake booster and master cylinder, polished valve covers, and its iconic 6.6 Litre air cleaner cover. The interior is in excellent condition and comes in Silver leather throughout with matching door panels with added red trim. The Dash comes in dark Gray with imitation brushed aluminum and features a Rally style steering wheel with tilt steering column. Other interior features include tape player with AM/FM radio, and light Gray carpet. The exterior sports Silver paint with Daytona 500, Nascar, and iconic Phoenix decals. Other exterior features include its popular removable mirrored “T-Tops” and dual Flowmaster exhaust. This limited production pace car sits on radial tuned suspension and rolls on 15x8 Turbo alloy wheels that are stopped by power disc brakes all the way around. THIS VEHICLE CANNOT BE REGISTERED BY A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT DUE TO SMOG REGULATIONS.
