Description: This 1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe 4-door sedan presented here was restored by a Ford Collector and enthusiast in the late 1980s. A solid former San Francisco Ford sedan, it was towed home along with numerous boxes filled with parts. It was then completely restored by the owner over the next two years. The body and fenders were painted a forest green and the wire wheels sprayed a slightly different shade of green for contrast, while inside a new beige cloth interior was fitted. The chrome was all replaced or re-plated at the time of restoration and still bears excellent luster. The non-original 85hp, 221cu-in V8 engine was completely rebuilt and then painted silver and black according to the owner's taste. The fully detailed engine remains in very good show condition and runs well. The Deluxe version of the Ford Model 48 4-door sedan dash was fitted with chrome accents and also features added chrome windshield and grille trim. Other Deluxe niceties include dual horns, taillights and driving lights, a Ford Greyhound hood ornament, wide whitewall tires, over-riders and an encased rear spare tire.
