Description: In 1958 Pontiac introduced the Bonneville as a new model to their model line and was offered only in a two door hardtop and convertible option. As a separate model, the Bonneville had a significantly lower price tag of around $3,000 which was due to the demotion of the luxury items found on the 1957 Star Chief. With production numbers reaching only 3,096 for the convertible Bonneville this one year only design could be arguably one of the most collectible Pontiacs of all time. Undoubtedly one of the flashiest of all the 1950’s vehicles, the Bonneville dazzled customers with lavish amounts of chrome and its unique two-tone exterior color combinations and it also paced the Indianapolis 500 the same year it was first featured. Presented here is an exquisite, show quality, cosmetically restored 1958 Bonneville Convertible that was originally featured in a solid Graystone White exterior color with white convertible top. In the early 2000’s this Pontiac was treated to a two-tone paint job in Graystone White with Rangoon Red inlay starting at the front of the fender and running through the door and onto the concave rear “Rocket” styled side spears. With all of the chrome trim and bumpers showing very well, the Bonneville also features a black power convertible top, dual “floating” style mirrors, wrap around front windshield, chrome fender top ornaments, power antenna, chrome cowl vent and polished stainless windshield wiper arms. The Pontiac is powered by its original and freshly resealed 370ci Tempest 395 V8 engine and 4 barrel carburetor producing a stout 255 horsepower. Under the hood also features power steering, power brakes, and windshield washer, as well as a true dual exhaust. Moving into the interior of Pontiac you will find a fully restored leather split back bench seat featured in a two tone Graystone White with Rangoon Red inserts and piping. Other features of the interior are a Wonderbar radio, original odometer showing 54,774 original miles, manual windows, courtesy lights, Bonneville specific foot pedals as well as a Rangoon Red dashboard accented with chrome trim and polished stainless trim accents flowing from the dashboard onto the door panels. To finish off the overall luxurious and unique styling of the Bonneville, the 14-inch color matched steel wheels are wrapped in BF Goodrich wide white wall radial tires and the correct, Bonneville only, chrome hubcaps. Don’t miss out on a chance to own a piece of Pontiac's past where design and style stirred the emotions while engineering elegance and powerful engines satisfied the need for speed and adventure!
