Known by the nickname "Action Line", Chevrolet's new C- and K-series trucks debuted in 1967 with a more modern look as Chevrolet began to focus more on comfort and convenience to make driving easier and more enjoyable. Built at Chevrolet's Fremont plant, this 1970 Chevrolet C10 has been restored to factory original condition and although as a base model it's a relatively no frills pickup, it was ordered with a number of interesting options from the factory. While the standard power plants for 1970 were a 250ci 6-cylinder or a 307ci V8, this truck originally came with an optional LS9 350ci V8, which has since been swapped out in favor of a GM Goodwrench 350ci V8 crate motor and is mated to an optional Muncie SM465 four-speed manual transmission. Additionally, this C10 was ordered with a positraction rear differential as well as a heavy-duty suspension package which included a front stabilizer, heavy duty rear leaf springs, and heavy-duty front shock absorbers. With manual brakes and manual steering, one could speculate was this truck was built for but nevertheless, the truck is a great runner and looker to boot. Repainted in the original white and medium bronze, the exterior shows extremely well and features dual auxiliary gas tanks as well as all the original glass, save for the windshield, while the interior has been redone in the original saddlewood upholstery with brown carpet and features optional gauges for amperage and oil pressure along with the original factory optional AM radio in the dash. The truck rides on a set of General Grabber STX 225/75R16 tires mounted on 16-inch white Sunraysia wheels which matches the white roof and provides a nice contrast to the medium bronze exterior. Additionally, this C10 comes with all its original paperwork, including original owner's manual, Protect-O-Plate, dealer invoice, and broadcast sheet, which is amazing and although somewhat spartan, the interesting factory options and original documentation make it a really neat truck. Overall this 1970 Chevrolet C10 is a well restored and well preserved pickup that both looks and runs great.
